First Bank Sierra Leone from Freetown, Sierra Leone (a subsidiary of FirstBank) has a Tier 1 capital. Founded in 1894. FirstBank (our parent company) is reputed for its heritage, dependability and strong corporate governance. It is listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange with over 1.3 million shareholders. FirstBank serves more than 9 million customers across a network of over 750 branches with a workforce of over 15,000 personnel. The FirstBank group operates in Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea, Senegal, DR Congo, The Gambia, United Kingdom and Sierra Leone. It also has representative offices in Paris, Beijing, Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi.
FirstBank came to Sierra Leone in 2013 and bought the former ICB (International Commercial Bank).
FirstBank started operations in Sierra Leone in 2014.
First Bank Sierra Leone currently operates from five branches and one cash point (3 Charlotte Street, 9 Freetown Road Lumley, 5 Ross Road Cline Town, Aberdeen Road (Cash Point), Bojon Street, Bo Town, and 8 Rogbaneh Road, Makeni) while plans are on to establish branches in the country.
The current MD of FirstBank Sierra Leone is Mr Udeme Udoh.
